Animated .gifs offer more space for your message without having to upgrade to slightly more expensive options such as Flash and HTML 5 compatible Interactive Ads.

What is an animated .gif?

An animated .gif is like a miniature filmstrip that runs through frames one at a time. This is a great option for messages you’d like timed out. For example your first frame can show for 3 seconds before jumping to the next frame which may run for 5 seconds and so on and so forth. Technically you can add as many “frames” as you want, but we suggest 3 frames with an animated .gif. The average frame runs for around 3 seconds. This means at 3 frames your ad will run for 9 seconds before it’s completed. Any longer than 9 seconds and most users will have already ventured down the page past your ad. Also, animated .gif’s that have more than a 3 panel animation generally exceed our file size limitations.
