728x90 Leader board
The 728x90 “leaderboard” ad unit is one of several IAB standard ad units that is widely used across the Web. This unit is ideal for bold, hard-hitting headlines, and provides a large enough space for bold graphics and text. The 728x90 is part of the Internet Advertising Bureau’s “Universal Ad Package,” which specifies which ad units, at a minimum, publishers should provide to advertisers.
468x60 Banner
The 468x60 “banner” is the original Web ad unit and has been the most widely used ad size until recently. This ad unit provides a wide space for graphics and when animated, can deliver strong graphics and space for a very targeted message.
