The 160x600 “wide skyscraper” is part of the Internet Advertising Bureau’s “Universal Ad Package,” which specifies which ad units publishers should provide, at a minimum, to advertisers. The vertical orientation of the wide skyscraper makes it ideal for bold graphics and animations that take advantage of the size and orientation of the space, as well as ads that include long text.
The 120x600 “skyscraper” is oriented vertically and delivers ad space parallel to Web site content, which gives you the ability to place your ad adjacent to content as site visitors are reading the content.
