Intermarkets Donates to School Supply Drive for the Good Samaritan Foundation

Reston, Va. – July 27, 2007 – Intermarkets, Inc. today provided a needed boost to local community groups seeking to aid underprivileged youth in the Washington, DC area.

Intermarkets contributed to the school supply drive to benefit the Good Samaritan Foundation’s Community Partnership’s Student Training Opportunity Program (STOP). STOP, which was launched in 1993, provides underprivileged youth in the Washington, DC area with job training for summer internships, and provides after-school tutoring, mentoring, and other various resources throughout the year.

In an effort to surpass last year’s drive total of $1,500, Intermarkets donated $500 in items such as pens, pencils, highlighters, notebooks, binders, paper, scissors, and staplers to over fifty inner-city children who participate in the program. It is through such fundraisers that metropolitan DC youth are provided with the resources necessary to compete successfully in society, which is part of STOP’s mission.
