Reston, Va. – December 19, 2007 – Intermarkets is helping to give local needy families a reason to celebrate this holiday season.
To help local military families celebrate the holidays, Intermarkets, Inc. generously participated in the U.S. Marine Corps, Henderson Hall (www.usmc.mil) “Adopt-A-Family” Program. The Marine and Family Services Adopt-A-Family Program’s purpose is to match volunteer sponsors with Marine families, of limited financial resources, in order to provide these families with a happy and joyous holiday.
In addition, Intermarkets also sponsored several local families through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program as well as the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys for Tots Program. The Salvation Army (www.salvationarmyusa.org) program provides new clothing or toys to needy families during the holiday season; Toys for Tots (http://www.toysfortots.org) distributes toys as Christmas gifts to needy children in the community. Each organization aims to deliver a message of hope to needy youngsters that will motivate them to grow into responsible, productive, patriotic citizens and community leaders.
“We’re very excited to have sponsored these U.S. Marine and local families during the holidays. Intermarkets gladly supports the members of the military in our community and our nation. And we’re pleased to have been able to donate to the Salvation Army’s ongoing outreach programs,” said Intermarkets CEO, Kevin Lucido.
